The Ministry of Urban Planning has begun implementing the directives of the Governor of Khartoum to stop encroachments on the Western Nile National Road “Wadi Sayedna – Al Huquna “.
Acting Director General of Lands, Mawlana Ahmed Yahya, issued a circular prohibiting the construction of any buildings on the road right-of-way, and threatened to take legal action against anyone who violates this. Yahya warned citizens not to fall victim to purchasing any holdings from any party around the road right-of-way, which would deprive them of their rights.
In a related context, the Governor of Khartoum reviewed the Khartoum State Gateway plan at its borders with River Nile state and the designs prepared by the Ministry of Urban Planning for the gate and the service facilities attached to it. The Governor directed to immediately start implementing the project, starting with supplying water to the site of the plan.
