Minister of Minerals Mohamed Bashir Abdullah holds an important meeting with the Ivorian Minister of Energy and Mining, during which he discusses ways of joint cooperation in the field of mining.
The Minister headed a delegation that includes the Director General of the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company ( SMRC) Mohamed Taher Omar, to the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire (Côte d’Ivoire) in response to an invitation from the Australian mining company Birtht to review the company’s gold-producing project there, which matches the project the company is working on in Sudan.
The Minister was accompanied by the Director General of the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company( SMRC)the Assistant Director General for Technical Affairs, the Director of the General Administration for Control and Supervision of Exploration Companies, and the Secretary of the Minister’s Office.
The delegation was received in the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire by Ambassador Al-Jili Mohamed Abdel Hamid, the Sudanese Chargé d’Affaires to Côte d’Ivoire, the CEO of Birtht Jefferson, the local director of the company Yacouba Diarra, and Engineer Mahdi Dallah, the company’s project manager.
The delegation held a brainstorming meeting with the company’s CEO, during which the delegation listened to the company’s experience in the mining sector.
