The Sudanese army SAF intensified its military operations around Jebel Moya area north of Sennar state in an attempt to regain control over it.
According to field sources who spoke to “Sudan Tribune”, the army forces proceeded to advance towards Jebel Moya from White Nile state.
According to the same sources, the SAF took control of Jebel Al-Doud – within a series of hills in Jebel Moya area – last week, then managed during the past hours to expand eastward and extend its control over Jebel Al-Awar, an area closer to Jebel Moya.
Information indicates that the army attacked, on Monday, Jebel Saqdi and areas surrounding Jebel Moya, west of Sennar city, where it was able to comb the areas surrounding Jebel Moya and inflict losses in lives and combat vehicles on the Rapid Support Forces RSF.
The sources affirmed that the SAF combed villages located on the foothills of Qara, Sidi and Al-Tala’a mountains, and they are now close to Jebel Moya on the national road linking the cities of Sennar and Rabak in White Nile state.
