Bus Ticket Prices Increase by 21%

The National Chamber of Travel Bus Owners in Sudan announced a 21% increase in travel ticket prices for July 2024 from Port Sudan to other cities.
The chamber attributed the increase in a publication obtained by (Sudan Events ) to the increase in the prices of diesel, tires, batteries, oils, refineries, spare parts and administrative expenses.
The circular set the ticket price from Port Sudan to Omdurman at SDGs 70,000 ,while the ticket price from Port Sudan to Wadi Halfa was set at SDGs105 ,000, to New Halfa at SDGs 56,000 , to Gadarif at SDGs 61,000 , while the price to Kassala was set at SDGs43,500 , to Atbara at SDGs 38,000 , to Shendi at SDGs 48,000 , to Merowe/Karima at SDGs 55,000 , to Daba at SDGs 66,500 , and the ticket price from Port Sudan to Dongola was set at SDGs 78,500 .
