“Sudan Calls” initiative condemned the rebel militia’s targeting of agricultural states and disrupting production in all of Gezira schemes, agricultural areas in and around Sinja, and agricultural areas in Darfur to stop the wheel of production and thwart agricultural seasons with the aim of starving the Sudanese people.
Head of the initiative’s supreme committee, Hassan Kamal El-Din Waqe Allah, said in a statement to “Sudan Events ” that targeting Sudan affects all foreign countries, considering Sudan the world’s food basket and the deceit that surrounds it affects the world’s economy and food, warning of the militias’ plans to empty Gezira state of its original settlers and replace it with a component of the militias and a number of terrorist components that make up it to occupy the entire project.
He said, “After the militia entered Gezira state, it destroyed all agricultural technology and spoiled the agricultural scientific research of the project as a first stage, and in the second stage, it stole all agricultural machinery and equipment, project seeds and fertilizers, which affects the implementation of the agricultural season.
It did not stop at that, but rather stopped the agricultural system and displaced Gezira farmers from all their villages and committed crimes that made Gezira citizens displaced and now refugees in other cities in search of shelter and food after they used to provide sustenance for all of Sudan and the world as a whole.”
He affirmed that the plan aims to provide safe entry for those conspiring against Sudan.
