The Sudanese Pound Suffers New Losses

The Sudanese pound suffered new losses, adding to its losses that increased in intensity after the outbreak of war in mid-April 2023.
The exchange rates of foreign currencies against the Sudanese pound continued to rise steadily in the parallel market and Sudanese banks.
Foreign exchange market traders told Sudan Events hat the dollar purchase price in the parallel market trading (Wednesday) reached SDGs 2,250 , while the selling price reached SDGs 2,400 , while the Saudi riyal purchase price reached SDGs 600 , and SDGs 613.33 for sale, and the UAE dirham price reached SDGs 613.07 , while the euro price reached SDGs 2,445.65 , at a time when the pound sterling price recorded SDGs 2,922.07 , the Egyptian pound price reached SDGs 46.83 , the Bahraini dinar price reached SDGs 5,921.05 , the Qatari riyal price recorded SDGs 616.43 , the Omani riyal price reached SDGs 5,921.05 , and the Kuwaiti dinar SDGs7,258.06 .
At a time when the dollar purchase price at Khartoum Bank reached SDGs1860.42 , while the selling price reached SDGs 1873.95, while its price at Omdurman Bank reached SDGs 1790, at a time when the dollar purchase price at Faisal Islamic Bank recorded SDGs1850 , and its selling price reached SDGs1863.78.
