Arsenal’s efforts to include the defender of Bologna and the Italian national team, Riccardo Calafiore, are threatened by one of the Gunners players, as Arsenal wants to include the name of its player Jakub Kuyur in the deal to include Calafiore, but the Polish defender refuses to go to Bologna.
Arsenal held talks with Bologna about Calafiore last month, after the player’s remarkable brilliance in Euro 2024 with his country’s national team, and entered into a competition to include him with Chelsea, which later turned its attention to Basel defender Renato Vega. Bologna wants 46 million pounds to get rid of Calafiore, who moved to the Italian club for 3.4 million pounds from Basel last summer, but the Swiss club is entitled to 50% of the profits made according to the concluded contract. Arsenal have so far only offered £37 million in negotiations, which has led to Kiwior’s name being involved in the deal.
