Bank of Khartoum Issues warnings Regarding the “Bankak” Application

Bank of Khartoum warned against dealing with advertisements circulating on some social media sites and the claim of some people that they are employees of Bank of Khartoum and are facilitating the procedures for activating the (Bankak) service without carrying out the customer verification procedures approved by the bank.
The bank’s management noted that these advertisements are issued by intermediaries (brokers) who have no connection to Bank of Khartoum.
The bank’s management said in a statement that the procedures for activating Bankak accounts are carried out through the bank’s official channels and announced on the official Bank of Khartoum pages through various means of communication or by visiting the nearest branch or communicating and contacting through the “Direct” call center according to the procedures followed and are free of charge without imposing any fees on the procedure. It revealed that the bank has registered and opened criminal cases against these intermediaries with the Information Crimes Prosecution under Article 11 of the Anti-Information Crimes Law 2018 for the crime of impersonating others, as well as under Article 25 of the same law for the crime of defaming the bank’s reputation.
The bank’s statement warned intermediaries (brokers) against persisting in these crimes, especially since the bank will not be lenient in Arrest them through all legal means by the competent prosecution.
He renewed the warning not to deal with these fraudulent brokers to avoid legal action, announcing the bank’s continuation in taking legal action to combat this behavior to protect its rights and the rights of its customers.
