Commodity Prices and transportation tariffs increase in the Northern state

The prices of vegetables and fruits in Burqeiq market in the Northern state witnessed a noticeable increase on Sunday.
The price of a quarter of an onion was recorded at SDGs3,000 a kilo
of potatoes SDGs 3,000 , a kilo of okra SDGs 8,000 , a kilo of eggplants SDGs 3,000 , and a kilo of cucumbers SDGs 4,000 .
Omar Khawaja revealed an increase in fruit prices, as a dozen of oranges recorded SDGs 5,000 and a dozen of grapefruit SDGs 5,000 , while the price of a dozen of mango ranged between SDGs 7,000-8,000 , and a kilo of bananas reached SDGs 2,000 .
As for meat prices, the price of a kilo of veal rose from SDGs10,000 to 12,000
and a kilo of lamb to SDGs 15,000.
In contrast, fuel prices witnessed a new increase, as the price of a gallon rose from SDGs 9,300 to 12,500 – 13,000 at gas stations, and the price of a gas cylinder reached SDGs 34,000 .
In the same context, transportation fares recorded an increase, and the fare for the Burqeiq-Dongola line rose from SDGs 4,000 to 5,000 , while some internal lines recorded a fare of SDGs 1,500 .
