Sudan Events- Follow-ups
Head of “Doctors Without Borders”, ( MSF) Christos Christou described the health and humanitarian situation in Sudan as “the worst ever” and “very worrying”.
Christou said, quoting Asharq Al-Awsat from Yemen, that the situation is emerging very quickly, with challenges hindering movement, the small number of international humanitarian representatives on the ground, and limited funding allocated to the response by various countries.
Christou added that more than 70 ٪ of health volunteers are out of work, and that the level of malnutrition is improving, and the number of patients with malaria and epidemics is expected to reach normal levels with the start of the rainy season.
