SMRC: $748 Million is the proceeds of Free Gold Exports during (6) Months

The Sudanese Mineral Resources Company (SMRC) Limited announced that the total production of gold exceeded (29) tons during the first half of this year, at a rate of 119% of the allocated link.
The Director of the Planning Department, Dr. Al-Sadiq Al-Haj Taha, revealed in press statements that the revenues for the first half amounted to SDGs 114 billion and explained that the proceeds of free gold exports for the first half exceeded $748 million.
The company’s periodic meeting, on Monday, headed by the company’s General Manager, Mohamed Tahir Omar, discussed the performance report for the first half of 2024 AD, and the company’s plan for the third quarter of this year.
Al-Sadiq affirmed that the company was able to maintain the level of production despite the major challenges facing production operations, represented by random practices in extracting gold, which affect the safety of the environment and the national economy, and revealed that the meeting approved the formulation of a system of policies to prevent the phenomenon of random practices in the mining sector.
