Complaints for the lack of Summer Season Fuel

Sudan Events – Rehab Abdullah

White Nile state farmers complained for the lack of diesel at the appropriate times.
They attributed the matter to the blocking of roads and crossings despite the early preparations of the Farmers Union and the state government, which committed to providing diesel to make the agricultural season a success, but they revealed their surprise at the lack of any stock of diesel for agriculture, according to the confirmations of the union’s president, Abdul-Baqi Al-Awad, and its secretary-general, Ahmed Hassan, who said that the Minister of Agriculture had previously affirmed to them that agricultural diesel is available in the state and that they aim to cultivate 3,750,000 acres and need the same number of gallons of diesel to cover the agricultural area.
They pointed out that the farmers were unable to withdraw at that time due to security and economic concerns caused by the war.
The farmers called on the competent authorities to move and save what can be saved and to identify those responsible for the difficulty of agriculture, which is relied upon in most of the transformation industries, calling on the state governor, his government and the security services to secure and provide diesel.
