Sudan Events – Follow-ups
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Hussein Al-Amin Al-Fadil, revealed that they received an invitation from the US State Department for negotiations in Switzerland, affirming that the invitation is under consultation with other parties to respond to it in terms of form and content.
Ambassador Hussein said in a press conference in Port Sudan on Thursday that there are diplomatic arrangements to confront the campaign against Sudan, which takes humanitarian affairs and food security as an entry point, adding, “The Foreign Ministry has prepared and provided its missions and departments with sufficient information to confront such campaigns, and we reassure public opinion that the ministry is aware of this.”
He pointed out that the government had enlightened members of the diplomatic corps and representatives of regional and international organizations in Sudan before the press conference with everything mentioned about a food gap or famine.
Regarding what was raised about the deportation of the acting Chargé d’Affairs of the Sudanese Embassy in Eritrea, he said, “We are awaiting clarifications from the Eritrean government, and we are awaiting his arrival for many clarifications.”
Regarding what happened in Djibouti, the Undersecretary of Foreign Affairs described what happened as a “seclusion,” and continued, “Sudan was not invited, and it does not concern it, and initiatives regarding Sudan were collected in it.”
