Minister of Minerals confirms his Support for Qatar Mining Company

Minister of Minerals Mohamed Bashir Abdullah announced the ministry’s readiness to overcome all difficulties facing foreign investments in the field of mining in the country.
He said during his meeting in his office in Port Sudan with Hamad Al-Athba – Acting CEO of Qatar Mining Company, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Qatar Sudanese Mining Company ( SMRC) Limited, and Hamad Al-Jaber – Director of Operations Department of Qatar Mining Company, Deputy General Manager and Member of the Board of Directors of Qatar Sudanese Mining Company Limited, in the presence of the General Manager of the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company SMRC Limited, that the ministry will do its utmost to overcome all obstacles facing the company to resume work, and the minister welcomed the positive steps taken by Qatar Mining Company to resume work.
For his part, the Executive Director of Qatar Mining Company announced their readiness to resume work at the company’s sites, indicating that the meeting with the Minister of Minerals was intended to review the administrative and technical arrangements so that the company can resume work as soon as possible.
