Djibouti meeting Demands Burhan and Hemeti to seize Geneva Opportunity

A meeting held in Djibouti regarding Sudan demanded the Commander of the SAF, Lt.Gen. Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, and the Commander of the Rapid Support RSF Militia, Hemeti, to seize the opportunity of the negotiations announced in Geneva in mid-August.
The Djibouti meeting was chaired by the Personal Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Ramtane Lamamra, with the participation of a number of countries, including the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Egypt, South Sudan, in addition to the African Union, the Arab League, the European Union, the IGAD organization, and a number of international observers, as well as a number of special representatives for Sudan.
Djibouti meetings concluded on Friday, which lasted for two days.
The meetings discussed harmonizing initiatives and coordination in order to reach a formula to stop the devastating war in Sudan.
The participants agreed on the need to coordinate the proposed initiatives to work closely to achieve an immediate ceasefire in Sudan, and to provide humanitarian assistance to those affected by this war,addition to launching a comprehensive political process that addresses the Sudanese crisis and its roots.
The meeting called on the countries fueling the conflict in Sudan to stop, warning that the situation in Sudan could reach the brink of the abyss.
The army commander, Lt. Gen.Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, and the militia leader, Hemeti, called on them not to miss the opportunity for dialogue and to engage in the upcoming talks in Switzerland in mid-August to stop the war and resolve the Sudanese crisis.
