Distribution of Seeds to more than 5,000 Farmers

The Norwegian Church Aid for the Regional Program to Combat Hunger launched a project to distribute corn, sesame and peanut seeds to about 150 associations in the localities of Kosti, Al-Jabalain, and Al-Salam, targeting 5100 farmers with an area of 2550 acres.
The representative of the Minister of Production and Economic Resources in charge of the White Nile state, Yassir Mukhtar, appreciated the support and accompanying programs represented in the application of agricultural technologies for the targeted crops, and said that the small farmers sector is one of the important and productive sectors that contribute to providing food security and stability.
While Mujahid Khamis Hammad, Director of the Nuba Women’s Association for Education and Development, White Nile Branch, explained that the association works in five localities to achieve economic empowerment for women and combat illiteracy and poverty.
