Sudan and Iran agree to enhance Cooperation in International Forums

Acting Foreign Minister Hussein Awad Ali met with Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri at the beginning of a visit aimed at participating in the inauguration of the new Iranian president.
According to the Sudanese Foreign Ministry on Monday, the acting minister is participating in the inauguration of the new Iranian president, Masoud Pezeshkian.
Foreign Minister Hussein Awad conveyed the congratulations of the President of the Sovereignty Council TSC ,Commander-in-Chief of the SAF ,and the government and people of Sudan to the Iranian leadership and people on the occasion of the successful smooth transfer of power through free elections.
According to the Sudanese minister, the Iranian elections embodied the will of the Iranian people in resorting to the ballot boxes, and constituted a model for a democratic approach to be emulated in the region.
Foreign Minister Hussein Awad Ali provided an enlightenment on the situation in Sudan.
For his part, the Iranian minister thanked the Sudanese leadership and people for their interest in what is happening in Iran, and expressed his satisfaction with the participation of a high-ranking delegation in this important occasion.
The Iranian minister also affirmed Iran’s support for Sudan and its follow-up of the events taking place there.
The two ministers expressed their happiness at the restoration of bilateral relations between the two countries, and affirmed their determination to move forward to achieve the common interests of the two peoples.
The two parties, Sudan and Iran, agreed to enhance cooperation between them in regional and international forums.
