Medical and Engineering Assistance from Petrolines to Prince Osman Digna Hospital

Minister of Energy and Oil, Dr. Mohi El-Din Naiem Mohamed Saeed, witnessed the inauguration of the medical and engineering assistance provided by the Ministry of Energy and Oil through Petrolines for Crude Oil to Prince Osman Digna Reference Hospital within the framework of the Social Responsibility Projects Program.
The hospital administration honored the Minister of Energy and Oil, the General Manager of Petrolines, Mohamed Siddiq Al-Hussein, and a number of personalities for their cooperation with the hospital and their generous support.
The Minister of Energy and Oil, Dr. Muhi El-Din Naiem Mohamed Saeed continued the partnership with the health sector to complete the hospital development projects, believing in the importance of partnerships, particularly in such as Prince Osman Digna Hospital, as it is a large hospital that serves a wide segment of citizens in the state capital and the administrative capital, Port Sudan, and requires concerted efforts to complete all its needs of medical equipment, maintenance, medicines, medical furniture, etc., indicating that the Ministry of Energy and Oil and oil companies have been doing this since their establishment, as they adopt estimated budgets for community responsibility in the areas of oil production, transportation, refining and export, including education, health, water, etc.
For his part, the Governor of the Red Sea, Maj. Gen. Eng. Mustafa Mohamed Nour, expressed his happiness with the system of partnerships between sectors, thanking all those who contributed to supporting health in the state, including the Ministry of Energy and Oil and Petrolines Company for the generous support to the hospital in all medical, engineering and environmental sanitation departments, appreciating the great roles of the Federal Ministry of Health in the development of hospitals and health facilities, appreciating the efforts of the health sector in the state.
For his part, the Federal Minister of Health, Dr. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim, with the continuous development witnessed by Osman Digna Hospital, which qualifies it to be the first reference hospital in Sudan, appreciating the role of partnerships in advancing the health sector.
It is noteworthy that the celebration was honored by the Commander of the Red Sea Military Region, Major General Mohamed Osman Mohamed Hamad, and the delegation toured the various departments of the hospital accompanied by the general and sub-departments of the Federal and State Ministries of Health, and listened to a detailed explanation from the Director General of the Hospital, Dr. Mohamed Kamal, expressing his thanks and gratitude for the response of the Ministry of Energy and Oil and Petrolines Company to the partnership with the hospital and its support with a number of medical devices and equipment.
