Barcelona give Nico Williams a deadline

Barcelona have given Athletic Bilbao winger Nico Williams a deadline to respond to their offer to join the club. Barcelona made their official offer to Williams’ agent more than a week ago and are awaiting the player’s approval in order to activate the release clause in his contract with Athletic Bilbao (worth €58 million). Sources within the Catalan club confirmed that Blaugrana officials are planning to wait until August 12 for Williams to respond to the offer, on which date Williams will return to training with Athletic Bilbao.
It is worth noting that Williams has also been linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain this summer, but the player has already rejected the offer from the French champions because he does not want to leave La Liga.
