Dani Olmo, the Leipzig star, has decided to intervene in the ongoing negotiations between his club and Barcelona to decide his future. Barcelona sent more than one official offer to Leipzig to sign Olmo, but they did not receive approval. Barcelona submitted an improved offer to Leipzig this week that includes a fixed fee of 50 million euros, with variables that raise the total to 60 million. Olmo’s agents are planning to travel to Germany to play the role of mediator in the negotiations between Leipzig and Barcelona, and reach an agreement on the deal. The Leipzig management needs to analyze Barcelona’s latest offer, especially since the Blaugrana will provide 25 million as a down payment to the German club next September. Barcelona was planning in its first offer to pay 10 million euros as a down payment, which Leipzig will receive on January 1. Barcelona and Olmo plan to finalize the deal before August 8, the date set by Leipzig for the player to return to training.
