Zakat Allocates SDGs 100 million for Assistance

Khartoum Governor Ahmed Osman Hamza said that the support provided by the General Secretariat of the Zakat Bureau to the state during the war period contributed to helping families and alleviating suffering, indicating during his reception of the second support and assistance convoy sent by the General Secretariat of the Zakat Bureau that the convoy will be allocated to the hospices and shelter centers, pointing to the increasing number of arrivals to the safe areas of the state from other states affected by the war, which puts the state in front of major challenges to assist families.

The Secretary of Zakat in the state, Mohamed Yaqoub Ghazali, said that the total cost of the convoy amounted to SDGs 100 million , the value of goods (beans, lentils and Egyptian beans), in addition to preparing a thousand baskets worth SDGs 30 million for those affected by floods and rains.
