Warnings for Mining Companies and Miners in Sudan

The Sudanese Mineral Resources Company (SMRC) General Administration for Environment and Safety, issued warnings to miners and mining companies against the backdrop of expectations of higher than normal rainfall in the Red Sea and Kassala states.
In the warning, it called on miners, workers in mining markets and mining companies in these states to take the highest levels of caution and stay away from valleys and waterways and work to place gears around basins (waste, gold-bearing solutions, and processing basins to prevent them from being washed away in the event of flash floods or severe surface runoff.
It called for driving vehicles with caution, especially on highways and travel roads, and called on companies to take the highest levels of preparedness to ward off the expected risks resulting from rain and floods and take appropriate measures to prevent the washing away of basins, mining waste “Kurta” and processing basins.
