Arrival of Aid for Flood Victims in the Northern

King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid and Human Appeal ) Organization, in cooperation with the Sudanese Red Crescent Society (SRCS)and the Zakat Bureau , provided humanitarian aid to those affected by the rains and floods in Hafir Administrative Unit in Dongola Locality.
The aid included food, shelter, health baskets and tarpaulins.
The Governor of the Northern, Abdeen Awad Allah, affirmed his government’s support and standing with those affected by the rains and floods in all the localities of the state, and pointed out that the country is going through exceptional circumstances that require the government and civil society organizations to provide the necessary support to those affected by the rains and floods and alleviate their suffering.
During the distribution of aid, he said that the state government is continuing to provide shelter and food supplies to those affected, praising the efforts and support of the Zakat Bureau , Dongola Locality, the Sudanese Red Crescent Society, King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid and the Idafa and Human Appeal organizations and their urgent and rapid interventions in alleviating the extent of the disaster for the citizens of the Hafir Administrative Unit.
For his part, the Director General of the Ministry of Health in the Northern State, Dr. Satti Hassan Satti, confirmed that the ministry has formed a technical room to follow up on the negative health effects of the fall season, prevent diseases and epidemics, and combat disease vectors. He stressed the role of society and organizations and their cooperation with the government in supporting the health system and maintaining the health of citizens.
The Secretary General of the General Secretariat for Social Affairs, Manal Makkawi Ibrahim, praised the efforts of the Zakat House, the Ministry of Health, Dongola Locality, and social work partners in providing services and humanitarian assistance to those affected by the rains and floods in the state.
While the Executive Director of Dongola Locality, Dr. Makkawi Al-Khair Al-Waqie, explained that the extent of the damage caused by the rains and floods in Al-Hafir Administrative Unit was represented by the complete collapse of 122 homes and the partial collapse of 2,180 homes, 4 schools, and a number of youth centers.
He appreciated efforts of the Zakat Bureau , the Sudanese Red Crescent Society (SRCS)and Adda and Human Appeal organizations for providing some aid to those affected in the unit.
For his part, Secretary of the Zakat House in the North, Al-Hadi Mohamed Ahmad, affirmed the continuation of the Bureau ‘efforts and support for those affected by the rains and floods, particularly the poor and vulnerable groups.
