Completion of Srrangements for Launching work at Kassala Airport

State Airports Administration announced the completion of administrative and technical arrangements and operational inputs for launching work at Kassala Airport, which is the second following Port Sudan Airport.

Director of the state Airports and Runways Administration, Osman Al-Awad, affirmed coordination with Kassala state Government and relevant authorities to launch work at the airport, noting that his visit to Kassala was intended to inspect the airport after the issuance of the decision to open the airspace of the eastern area to raise operational efficiencies within two weeks by treating the runway according to the plan received from the Airport Safety Administration.

He noted the presence of maintenance teams to receive aircraft, noting that Kassala Airport has all services from safety and aviation security to civil defense and other facilities.

He called on companies to submit landing requests at Kassala Airport, which was operating before the outbreak of the war through regular domestic and international flights and cargo flights such as live camel exports.
