Mozambican President: We support the Sudanese Government’s Peace Efforts and the door should be closed to any External Interventions

President of the Republic of Mozambique, Filipe Nyusi, received on Thursday in the capital Maputo, the Vice-President of the Sovereignty Council TSC Malik Agar Air, and his accompanying delegation.
Agar conveyed the greetings of the president of the Transitional Sovereignty Council TSC Lt. Gen. Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, to the President of the Republic of Mozambique, expressing his hope to enhance joint cooperation between the two countries.
The meeting discussed developments in the situation in Sudan, the current crisis, and its impact on the regional and international environment.
The Vice-President of the Sovereignty Council TSC provided an update on the situation in Sudan and the repercussions of the current war, affirming Sudan’s keenness to establish peace and stop the suffering of the Sudanese people, whose capabilities were destroyed by the terrorist rebel Rapid Support RSF Militia.
He presented a detailed report on the position of international and regional platforms on the Sudanese crisis, especially in the UN Security Council, the African Union and IGAD, expressing the Sudanese government’s aspiration for Mozambique to continue supporting Sudan’s attitude in international forums.
For his part, the President of the Republic of Mozambique affirmed his country’s keenness to establish peace in Sudan and its support for the Sudanese government’s efforts in dialogue for peace.
For his part, the Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Hussein Al-Amin, explained that the Vice President of the Sovereignty Council TSC affirmed during the meeting the Sudanese government’s keenness on the outcomes of Jeddah Forum as the starting point for any new step, especially the current American dialogue, noting that President Felipe stressed the need for the dialogue to be Sudanese-Sudanese and to close the door to any external intervention.
