Militia bombs Marenity Hospital in Omdurman (Al Dayat)
Sudan Events – Follow-ups
Rapid Support RSF Militia bombed on Friday the Maternity Hospital in Omdurman (Al-Dayat) with shells, and the shelling caused damage to the buildings.
The Khartoum Health Emergency Committee said in a statement, “In light of targeting the Sudanese people, their gains and service institutions, the Rapid Support RSF Militia targeted and bombed the Maternity Hospital with a large number of shells, which led to losses in the hospital buildings.”
It is noteworthy that the hospital was reopened on Thursday after the armed forces took control of Omdurman and expelled the militia after the Rapid Support RSF Militia caused destruction, theft and devastation in it, as it was exploiting it as a military barracks and a headquarters for detention and torture.
The Emergency Committee added: “Doctors, nurses, staff and some patients were transferred to the Saudi Maternity Hospital in Omdurman, and there were no injuries.
The cadres of the Ministry of Health in Khartoum State affirm that this targeting of health facilities will not deter them from working and will continue to serve patients without interruption.”
