Barcelona to present Dani Olmo in Monaco friendly on Monday

Barcelona officially announced the date of presenting its first summer deal and former Leipzig playmaker, Dani Olmo, the star of the Spanish national team. He joined with a 6-year contract until June 30, 2030 for 62 million euros for the German club.

Barcelona confirmed, in an official statement, that Dani Olmo will be presented to the team’s fans next Monday at Montjuïc Stadium, during the Joan Gamper Cup match against Monaco at nine o’clock in the evening in the friendly tournament that is held annually before the start of the new season.

Olmo returned to Barcelona at the age of 26 after leaving the Catalan club’s youth system in 2014 and moving to Dinamo Zagreb before joining Leipzig in 2020. Barcelona agreed with Leipzig to sign Dani Olmo, with a release clause of 500 million euros. Dani Olmo joined La Masia academy in 2007 from neighboring Espanyol and spent seven years in the youth teams before moving to Croatia and playing for Dinamo Zagreb. Olmo’s transfer to Barcelona cost 55 million euros, plus 7 million euros in add-ons. Dani Olmo will play his official first match with Barcelona against Valencia in the first round of the Spanish League, on Saturday, August 17.
