Al-Burhan: Implementing the “Jeddah Outcomes” is a Red Line

General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Sudanese Armed Forces, met with Norwegian Ambassador to Sudan, André Stiansen, on Wednesday, marking the end of the ambassador’s tenure in the country. The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Hussein Al-Amin, stated that Al-Burhan praised the Norwegian ambassador for his role in developing relations between Norway and Sudan, and his contributions within the Troika group in supporting Sudan. The ambassador expressed his country’s willingness to mediate between the Sudanese and American governments in Geneva meetings. Al-Burhan emphasized Sudan’s commitment to dialogue with the U.S. but stated that there are red lines related to the implementation of the Jeddah Outcomes and the selection of observers for any talks.
