Sudanese-Arab Delegation Heads to Doha to Discuss Post-War Reconstruction in Sudan
On Wednesday, a joint delegation consisting of Sudanese officials and the Arab Union of Exporters and Importers headed to the Qatari capital, Doha. The delegation is led by Dr. Ahmed Al-Sharif, Assistant Secretary-General of the Arab Economic Unity Council, Dr. Al-Hadi Abu Dhaifair, Minister of State and Secretary-General of the National Housing and Reconstruction Fund, Dr. Musaad Abdel Hamid, Secretary-General of the Arab Union of Exporters and Importers, and Dr. Mohamed Abdel Rahim Ali, CEO of the Arab Union of Exporters and Importers in Sudan, along with a number of economic experts and advisors from the Housing Fund. The delegation is expected to discuss several economic and political issues in Doha and sign agreements and memorandums of understanding for joint cooperation. The delegation will also discuss with the Qatari leadership the reconstruction and development processes during the post-war period and how to provide economic support in the coming phase. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Rahim Ali confirmed the Union’s capability to achieve balanced development and strengthen economic relations between Sudan and the brotherly state of Qatar. The delegation will sign several memorandums of understanding and discuss proposals for investment projects in Sudan with Qatari companies. The delegation will hold several meetings at the beginning of its tour in the Arab region.
