“Mineral Resources” Pledges to Assist Rain and Flood Victims in Northern State

Hatem Al-Bushra Al-Sayed, Director of the General Directorate for Supervision and Control of Traditional Mining at the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company, pledged to assist those affected by the rains and floods that have affected vast areas in the Northern State. During his visit to the Halfa and Delgo localities, accompanied by the governor of the Northern State and members of his government, he stated that the company will work on helping the victims with reconstruction according to the state government’s plan. He also mentioned that the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company, miners, and mining companies had begun their direct interventions since the start of the rainy season through support and the dispatch of aid convoys.
On his part, Abdelrahman Mahjoub Al-Nadhif, Director of the Northern State office of the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company, announced the dispatch of convoys to all those affected by the rains and floods. He praised the quick interventions of the miners and workers in the mining markets and sites within the state in assisting the victims, noting that the benefits from mining areas should return to these communities through services, support, construction, and rebuilding. He expressed sympathy for the affected areas and announced that the office and miners stand in solidarity with the victims until their ordeal is over. He explained that the office, along with the miners, had sent convoys carrying humanitarian aid to the affected areas of Delgo and Halfa localities, highlighting significant coordination with the state government and relevant entities to reach and assist the victims.
Al-Nadhif reiterated the readiness of the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company in the Northern State to participate in reconstruction efforts and assist families in rebuilding their collapsed homes. He revealed that the company’s federal delegation had committed to providing a machine for manufacturing thermal bricks, in addition to material support and the provision of necessary services.
