Jaber: We Are Keen on Involving Kuwait in the Reconstruction Phase

Member of the Sovereign Council and Assistant Commander-in-Chief of the Sudanese Armed Forces, Engineer Admiral Ibrahim Jaber, expressed Sudan’s gratitude and appreciation to Kuwait for its valuable humanitarian assistance, which has helped alleviate the suffering of citizens due to the ongoing war and the floods.
Jaber, during his meeting with the Kuwaiti ambassador to Sudan, Dr. Fahad Al-Dhafiri, in Port Sudan on Monday, praised Kuwait’s continued support and advocacy for Sudan in international and regional forums, especially in ensuring the implementation of the Jeddah agreements.
He emphasized Sudan’s eagerness to involve Kuwait in the reconstruction phase and to grant its past and future investments the privileges that match its humanitarian and political stances.
The team briefed the ambassador on the peace talks in Jeddah and the bilateral meetings with mediators regarding the Geneva discussions.
The meeting also touched on mechanisms for bilateral cooperation, represented by the Joint Ministerial Committee and the Political Consultation Committee between the Foreign Ministries of both countries.
In a press statement, Ambassador Al-Dhafiri reaffirmed Kuwait’s commitment to its duty towards the Sudanese people, noting that his country would adopt a new approach to developing humanitarian aid, focusing on the transition to rebuilding health facilities.
