South Port Customs Achieves 214% of Target

The acting Director General of Customs, Major General Salah Ahmed Ibrahim, accompanied by Major General Abdelrahman Badawi Obeid, Assistant Director General for Customs Operations, inspects the South Port.
The Director of Customs praised the tremendous efforts made by the customs at the South Port, which represents the spearhead in revenues and what was achieved during the past month represents 214% of the target. He hoped for more target achievement in the coming month to meet the conditions the country is going through, especially since the annual target relies on containers at the South Port after the conditions of war.
He urged his officers, non-commissioned officers, and soldiers stationed at these critical points, as their colleagues in the trenches, as they in customs are fighting in the ports for the nation to achieve the required annual target. He praised the efforts of all the workers in the center and the states and promised more visits and providing all the administrative, technical, and social aids to enable them to perform their national duty. He urged his staff on professional excellence and transparency and the implementation of policies and decisions issued by specialized administrations.
In this context, the Assistant Director General for Customs Operations, Major General Abdelrahman Badawi Obeid, welcomed the visit of the Director General, thanking him for his continuous communication with the officers at the South Port and for addressing the positives and addressing needs.
The Customs Media reported that the program of visits by the Director General of Customs comes within the framework of monitoring the work progress and boosting the morale of the forces and addressing the needs where the visit included an enlightening meeting with the customs leadership at the port and field visits to the inspection and X-ray yards and the single window.
