Casualties in Militia Shelling Targeting Omdurman and El Fasher

The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia continued its heavy artillery shelling on Thursday, targeting El Fasher, the capital of North Darfur State, and Omdurman in the capital, Khartoum, resulting in civilian casualties. A medical source told “Sudan Tribune” that “at least two people were killed, and about 15 others were injured in RSF shelling that targeted the Al-Thawra area in Karari locality and the northern countryside of Omdurman, as well as parts of the Um Bada districts.” The shelling also affected the villages of Al-Amiriya and Al-Hawawir in the northern countryside of Omdurman, in addition to neighborhoods “12, 22, 23” within Um Bada locality, west of Omdurman. In El Fasher, the RSF intensified its artillery bombardment towards the western and southern neighborhoods of the city, targeting the First-Class district and Al-Salam, in addition to the El Fasher airport and the surroundings of the Sixth Infantry Division’s headquarters.
