Turkey Supports Flood and Rain Victims in Abu Hamad

The Governor of River Nile State, Muhammad Al-Badawi Abd Al-Majid Abu Qurun, met with the Secretary-General of the Sudanese Red Crescent Society, Aida Al-Sayed, accompanied by a delegation from the Turkish Red Crescent.
The Governor praised the unprecedented efforts of the Sudanese Red Crescent Society in the state and the exceptional coordination of its branch in River Nile in providing humanitarian aid to those in need. He also thanked the Turkish Red Crescent for their significant support, emphasizing the deep relationship between the Sudanese and Turkish peoples.
On her part, the Secretary-General of the Sudanese Red Crescent, Aida Al-Sayed, expressed her sincere gratitude for the Governor’s reception and the continuous cooperation of his government with the society and its branch in the state, which has greatly contributed to the effective fulfillment of its mission. She highlighted the support provided by the Turkish Red Crescent, including food supplies for the displaced in the state and for those affected by floods and rains in the Abu Hamad locality.
In a related context, the Executive Director of the Red Crescent Society’s branch in River Nile State, Imam Al-Din Muhammad Ahmad, affirmed the society’s ongoing commitment to delivering humanitarian and developmental services to the citizens.
The head of the Turkish Red Crescent delegation expressed his great pleasure in visiting River Nile State, noting that they are working in complete harmony with the Sudanese Red Crescent Society and reaffirming their continued provision of humanitarian aid to the displaced and those affected by floods and rains.
