Salah Leads Egypt Against Cape Verde and Botswana

Hossam Hassan, the coach of the Egyptian national football team, selected 27 players on Friday to face Cape Verde and Botswana in Group C of the qualifiers for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
The Egyptian Football Association announced on its Facebook page that the squad includes 27 players, led by captain Mohamed Salah, the Liverpool forward. The team will enter a training camp next Wednesday, which will continue until September 10th.
The Egyptian team is preparing for the matches against Cape Verde and Botswana next month in the first two rounds of Group C qualifiers.
The squad includes goalkeepers Mohamed El-Shenawy, El-Mahdy Soliman, Mostafa Shobier, and Hamza Alaa.
Defenders Ahmed Hegazi, Rami Rabia, Mohamed Abdel Monem, Ahmed Ramadan (Beckham), Khaled Sobhi, Mohamed Hany, Mohamed Hamdy Sharaf, and Mohamed Shehata.
Midfielders Ahmed Nabil (Koka), Mohamed Elneny, Hamdy Fathy, Marwan Attia, Emam Ashour, Nasser Maher, Ahmed Sayed (Zizo), Mahmoud Hassan (Trezeguet), Omar Marmoush, Mohamed Salah, and Mostafa Fathy.
Forwards Ibrahim Adel, Mostafa Mohamed, Mohamed El-Shamy, and Osama Faisal.
