Juba: South Sudanese People Watch Sudanese Suffering with Concern

The Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, on Sunday, received the credentials of the new South Sudanese Ambassador to Sudan, Garang Deng, in the presence of the Secretary-General of the Sovereignty Council, General Mohamed Al-Ghali Ali Youssef, and the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Hussein Al-Amin.
In a press statement, the South Sudanese ambassador said that he conveyed the greetings of President Salva Kiir Mayardit to the Chairman of the Sovereignty Council. He emphasized that the relationship between South Sudan and Sudan is strong and fraternal, and that the two peoples are essentially one nation in two countries.
The ambassador also noted that the people of South Sudan are watching with deep concern the crises faced by the Sudanese people and expressed his hope for sustained security, peace, and stability in Sudan.
