The Coordinating Body of the Civil Democratic Forces “Taqaddum” stated that the remarks made by coalition member Alaaldin Naqd represent his personal views and do not reflect the official position of the coordinating body.
In a television interview, Alaa Naqd said that the civil administration in Al-Jazira State is working to stabilize the situation and that the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) had donated about 200 billion for the agricultural season in the state. His comments were met with harsh criticism.
In a statement, the Coordinating Body of the Civil Democratic Forces “Taqaddum” noted that it has followed the recent statements made by the leadership committee member Alaaldin Naqd and emphasized that these remarks reflect his personal opinions only and do not represent the official position of the “Taqaddum” coalition.
The statement also mentioned that the official positions of the “Taqaddum” coalition are issued through official statements and by the leadership committee president, the general secretary, their deputies, and the official spokesperson of the coalition.
The statement reaffirmed that the position of the “Taqaddum” coalition on the warring parties in Sudan remains unchanged, being aligned solely with the Sudanese people’s choice for comprehensive and just peace. It highlighted that military solutions would only bring more suffering to the Sudanese people. The statement also stressed the need to stop violations against civilians and resume dialogue and negotiations to reach a political solution that fulfills the Sudanese people’s aspirations for security, peace, freedom, and a dignified life.
