White Nile: Directive to Develop an Urgent Plan for Pricing Goods

The joint meeting of the White Nile State Government Council, the State Security Committee, and the Strategic Goods Flow Committee, chaired by White Nile Governor Omar Al-Khalifa Abdullah, directed the development of an urgent plan for pricing strategic goods and the activation of emergency laws. It also emphasized the continuation of inventory committees’ work and the establishment of comprehensive data on the stock of strategic goods. The meeting stressed the need to provide more food and petroleum supplies, in coordination with the state’s economic committee, and assigned representatives at production and supply sites to transport goods to state markets. The meeting also called for the activation of the food security companies operating in the state, as well as direct sales centers and cooperative societies.

The meeting directed the public transportation and petroleum administration to facilitate transportation and mobility for citizens. The meeting also received a detailed report from the Minister of Production and Economic Resources on the progress of agricultural preparations for the summer season, in which the state succeeded in cultivating more than 2 million feddans.
