Sudan Events – Monitoring
The governor of Blue Nile State, Major General Ahmed Al-Amda Badi, directed the Economic Committee to work on activating and intensifying anti-smuggling efforts and issuing decisions to curb the rise in prices of basic commodities. He also instructed the opening of crossings to allow the entry of goods and essential supplies for the people of the region.
This came during his meeting in his office on Wednesday with a delegation from the Economic Committee, headed by Jamal Ahmed Saleh, the General Director of the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning and the chairman of the committee, in the presence of Abdulghani Daqees, the commissioner of the regional government, and Mirghani Maki Mirghani, the Secretary-General of the regional government.
The meeting took place in light of the current conditions in the region and the country in general, which have led to increased prices and essential services that concern the citizens and displaced persons in the region.
