Meeting Discusses Mining Conditions in Gedaref

The Acting Governor of Gedaref, Major General Mohamed Ahmed Hassan, discussed with a delegation from the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company, led by Hatem Al-Bashri, the Director General of Traditional Mining, along with the Director General of the Ministry of Finance, the Director General of the Ministry of Health, and the branch manager of the company in the state, the status of the mining sector as one of the stable sectors despite the war conditions.

The meeting also discussed the company’s social responsibility projects in the state and other mining-related projects, including increasing revenues, introducing new companies, and enhancing environmental protection and safety requirements in mining areas, especially during the rainy season.

The governor called on the company to ensure proper production monitoring, environmental conservation, and the provision of water and road services in the region.
