Rabih Al-Mahdi: Party Leaders Involved in “Progress” Misjudged the Situation

Sudan Events – Agencies
Rabih Al-Sadiq Al-Mahdi, a leader in the National Umma Party, confirmed the UAE’s involvement in the Sudanese war. Rabih told “Morning News”: “The Umma Party is led by those who fall short in both thought and the necessary work, unfortunately.” She pointed out that the statements from the General Secretariat lack condemnation of the Rapid Support Forces’ (RSF) violations, such as the shooting of a political bureau member, while they are quick to condemn the military intelligence’s arrest of cadres. Rabih stressed that the party leaders participating in the “Progress” coordination committee misjudged the situation, and the political bureau meeting will work to adjust the party’s stance. She added, “The General Secretariat refused to publish a statement issued by the Coordination Council distancing itself from individuals involved in managing the RSF’s civil administration in Gezira State.”
