32 Civilians Killed and Injured in Militia Shelling on Omdurman

The Khartoum State Ministry of Health announced that seven citizens were killed and 25 others injured as a result of intense shelling by the Rapid Support Forces militia on residential neighborhoods in Karari and Omdurman.
The Khartoum Ministry of Health stated in a communiqué that the shelling targeted the crowded Bir Hamad market in western Umbada locality, as it is the only market in the area from which civilians obtain their necessities. The militia also bombed the Bant market in Omdurman, the Chinese hospital, and the Thawra (Revolution) areas.
The communiqué noted that the shelling led to the martyrdom of seven civilians, including three women and a child, and the injury of 25 others, most of them suffering leg amputations. The communiqué added, “The number of injuries at Al-Naw Hospital reached 17 cases from Bir Hamad, three injuries from the housing near Al-Huda Prison, two unidentified injuries, one injury from Al-Hara 13, and another from Al-Hara 31. Ten injuries were reported at the Military Medical Corps, including three fatalities.”
