On the other hand, Egypt’s Cairo News channel, citing a “high-level” source, reported that a stabbing incident involving a number of tourists took place at a resort in Taba in the Sinai Peninsula. The source said, “We are awaiting initial investigations.” According to the channel, an Egyptian source denied the truth of reports in Israeli media about the stabbing of Israelis. The channel quoted witnesses saying that the incident did not result in fatalities and that “what happened was a brawl between some hotel employees in Taba and a number of tourists.” Israeli media also reported injuries in a fight between Israelis and hotel staff in Taba, Egypt. Israeli news pages published scenes from the mentioned brawl in the hotel, showing bloodstains on the ground.
