Militia Burn Village in Dinder
Sudan Events – Follow-ups
The Dinder Emergency Room reported that elements of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia opened fire on a river ferry carrying women, children, and the elderly in the middle of the Dinder River, resulting in the immediate death of a woman and a man, and seriously injuring three others, who were transferred to Hawata for treatment.
The emergency room confirmed in a statement that the militia, supported by elements from its bases in Kamrab and Al-Farish, continued its retaliatory campaign against the residents of villages west of Dinder. On Sunday morning, they completely burned the village of Wad Bashush and attacked the village of Sharshara. The statement added, “The militia is still mobilizing its forces to attack the villages of Drabah and Bayda.”
The statement also mentioned that since the militia’s entry into Dinder, they have pursued a scorched-earth policy, killing citizens, burning villages, and displacing their residents.
