Over 400 Cholera Cases Recorded in Nile River State

Health authorities in Nile River State revealed on Sunday that the number of cholera cases has increased to 409, with 14 fatalities.
A statement from the state’s information office indicated that 87 new cases of cholera were reported, including 3 deaths, while 217 patients are currently being treated in isolation centers.
The statement added that 29 cases were recorded in Barbar locality, 28 cases in Atbara, and 7 cases in Abu Hamed locality, with 3 deaths; two in Atbara and one in Damer locality.
The statement pointed out an increase in cases in Barbar locality compared to Atbara city, which previously recorded the highest number of cases.
