Hamas Leader: Biden’s Statements Acknowledge Netanyahu’s Responsibility for Disrupting Deal Efforts

Sami Abu Zuhri, a senior official in the Hamas movement, told Reuters today (Monday) in response to statements made by U.S. President Joe Biden that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is not making enough efforts to ceasefire in Gaza. “This is an American acknowledgment that Netanyahu is undermining the efforts.”

Abu Zuhri added that “the movement will respond positively to any proposal for a permanent ceasefire and a complete Israeli withdrawal.”
