Rain Expected to Continue in Most States

The Meteorological Authority has predicted continued rainfall in most states of Sudan, with varying intensities ranging from heavy to moderate to light.
In its bulletin on Monday, the authority indicated that the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) would continue to advance towards the north of the country, increasing the chances of rain in several areas.
The authority expected heavy rains in the states of Central and Western Darfur, and rains ranging from heavy to moderate in parts of North-West and South of the Red Sea state, North and Central parts of River Nile state, North-East, Central, and South-East of the Northern state, in addition to scattered parts of Kassala state, North-East Gezira state, South of Blue Nile state, Central and South-West of North Kordofan state, South Kordofan state, South-East, and Central parts of North Darfur state, East Darfur state, and North of South Darfur state.
