Gezira State Governor: Success of Current Season’s Crops is the Biggest Support for the Army

Gezira State Governor Al-Taher Ibrahim Al-Khair affirmed that the efforts of his government, the Gezira Project, and farmers in ensuring the success of the current season’s crops represent the greatest support for the armed forces as they fight the battle of dignity. This came during his visit to the summer crops in the Mansi section, accompanied by Police Major General Abdelilah Ali Ahmed, the State Police Director, and Major General Imad Al-Din Sayed Ahmed, Director of the National Intelligence Service in the state. The Governor praised the efforts of farmers, the Gezira Project management, and the Ministry of Irrigation despite the war conditions targeting the country, promising to expand the winter crop season. Several farmers in the section mentioned that the first half of October marks the beginning of the harvest season, with an average yield of 20 bags of sorghum per feddan and 40 bags of peanuts.
