Kosti Initiates Opening of Low-Cost Sales Centers

Kosti Locality’s Executive Director, Abu Ubaidah Omar Ajbeen, announced that the locality has begun opening low-cost sales centers for sugar. According to the Sudan News Agency, he stated that this step is part of the locality’s efforts to alleviate the burden of living on citizens and curb the rising prices. He pointed out that these centers are distributed in the large market and the popular market. He added that the locality would establish regulations to ensure that this commodity reaches its actual beneficiaries. He also announced the locality’s efforts to provide other essential consumer goods in coordination with the Strategic Commodity Flow Committee and the Chamber of Commerce.
