Meeting Agrees on Providing Productive Projects for Refugees in Al-Qadarif

A joint meeting between the Acting Governor of Al-Qadarif, Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Hassan Ahmed Idris, and the Commissioner for Refugees in Sudan, Dr. Musa Ali Atrun, discussed several issues and topics related to refugees in the state’s refugee camps, the services provided to them, the demands of the host community, as well as unregistered refugees and Southern Sudanese refugees who are being registered in the state. The meeting also addressed the need to regularize the situation of Sudanese returnees from Ethiopia. The Acting Governor of Al-Qadarif stated that the meeting concluded with several solutions to these issues, noting the agreement between the state government and the commission to develop plans to provide productive projects that would help refugees earn a decent living and contribute to driving the economy.
